Hi! I'm Kelli and I am the owner and sole provider at StrongHER Physical Therapy & Performance, providing pelvic floor physical therapy in Ankeny, Iowa. I earned my bachelors degree in Exercise Science at St. Ambrose University in 2016 and went on to earn my degree as a Doctor of Physical Therapy at St. Ambrose University in 2018. I have special training from the American Physical Therapy Association and the Institute of Clinical Excellence in pelvic floor physical therapy as well as special training in trigger point dry needling from Myopain Seminars.
StrongHER was created from my professional speciality of pelvic floor rehab, my personal passion for all things fitness and love for helping other women and moms feel strong and move their body with confidence. Too many women, especially prenatal or postpartum, are held back in life or in the gym due to pain, leaking, fear of injury or inability. I believe that there are not enough people encouraging and guiding women to lift heavy, lift often and get stronger. This is the key to building resilience, improving quality of life and reducing your risk for injury down the road. This is my passion and the heart of StrongHER Physical Therapy & Performance.
I am originally from small town Iowa but lived for 2 years in central Arizona. I am married to my best friend, Cole, who is also my greatest supporter and we have two year old son, Baylor. We also have a 4 year old husky/mini Aussie mix who is never afraid to tell you what she needs. In my free time, you will find me in our home gym dabbling in Crossfit, weight lifting or potentially putting some miles on the Bob stroller with Baylor. I love to be active and challenge myself in new ways. My favorite things in this world are my family, being active outside and coffee. My least favorite is snakes, Mac 'n cheese and cold weather.
